Delaware County ARES/RACES Weekly Digital Net Control Script

Monitor

Monitor the net frequency prior to the beginning of the net. If there is activity, advise the stations that the net is scheduled to begin shortly. If there is no activity announce about one minute before the net.

“All stations please standby for the Delaware County ARES / RACES Digital Net.  If anyone needs to use this repeater, please call <your callsign> at this time.”.

Start the Net

“Calling all Delaware County ARES members.  The weekly Delaware County Amateur Radio Emergency Service digital Net is about to begin.  The weekly Delco ARES digital Net is about to begin.  The weekly Delco ARES digital Net is about to begin.”.

Preamble 

“This is <your callsign>, I spell <spell out callsign phonetically>, Net Control Station for the Delaware County ARES/RACES digital Net.”.

“This net meets every Monday evening after the analog Net for the purpose of testing our digital equipment and repeaters.”.

Check Ins

At this point handle check ins to the Net.

“We will now call for check ins to the Net. We will start by calling on those that checked into the analog Net.  When called, please acknowledge and check in.”.

“<Your callsign> calling <Checked in callsign>.”.

If heard from, then:

”NCS acknowledges <callsign>, thanks for checking in.”.

Otherwise:

“<callsign> not heard from.”. 

”Anyone else wishing to check into the Net, please call Net control at this time.”.

Last Call
