A Zoom class for those new to digital amateur radio will be taught by Barry Feierman, K3EUI, of West Chester. The classes will be held on the first Saturday of the month beginning on February 3, 2024 at 1000 hours local time. In addition to the Zoom sessions, there will be on-air demonstrations on 7068 kHz (VFO dial frequency) in the 40 meter band. The first lesson will deal with the basics about how a sound card modulates an HF SSB transceiver and creates the modes known as PSK, THOR, VARA and others.
To register for the classes, email Barry-K3EUI with the following information: full name, FCC call sign, city and state, transceiver model, sound card and computer type and class of license. You need to be a GENERAL class licensee or above due to the HF frequencies used.
