Hello All:

We are now only 6 weeks away from one of the largest HAM involved events.  The 2021 RIDE MS – CITY TO SHORE is once again in the need of our services, like we have been supporting for the past 35 years.

Our recruitment efforts have now stalled to only a few a week.  Currently, not only are we filling positions that have been entrusted for many years, but our check point positions are dangerously low.  We are still in the need to fill at least 35 positions.

If you have volunteered before – WE NEED YOU AGAIN.

If you have heard about the event, but never came out – WE NEED YOU TO TRY.

If you are a new HAM – THIS IS A GREAT OPPORTUNITY TO LEARN.

The event this year is the 25th and 26th of September.  The National Multiple Sclerosis Society has entrusted the SAFETY and COMMUNICATIONS of this event to the Amateur Radio Community for years, and we have been the benchmark for many chapters involving HAMS across the country.  We need to continue this legacy.

For those of you that have already volunteered, we THANK YOU, but you are still receiving these recruitment emails because we need your help in spreading the word.  We need all the exposure and assistance we can get to bring in the number of volunteers that we need to support the event fully, and help to ensure the safety of all the riders and other volunteers to make the event successful to help the folks living with this horrible desease.

If we can get at least 15 to 20 volunteers a week for the next 2 weeks, we can pull the event off.  If that number is 25 or more, we fulfill our goal of 150 HAM volunteers.  Please dig deep, and put aside the weekend of September 25th as your commitment to PUBLIC SERVICE.  We are confident that we can depend on our brethren to make it happen right.
